The trade market is a building located in Krylia (During 1.16-1.17, Elpod) that allows players to sell or buy items that were put up by other players.

Operation

The market has to have an operator to function. Trade markets contain multiple chests to store the items, and a lectern or a two so the customer can see what offers exist.

As operator

The operator sits idle in the trade market until a customer arrives, the customer will give the operator make an offer, give the items or if just one, a single item, and name the price. The operator takes whatever was given, puts it in one of the chests and logs it in a book that may be located in the chest. If a customer wants to buy an item, they request for the item and are given it once it has been paid.

When a customer logs on who has successfully sold an item or multiple on the trade market, the operator will notify them about the purchase and will give them the diamonds their purchase made when they arrive.

As customer

The customer can sell items by making an offer, can giving the items, or if just one, a single item, and naming the price. If a customer wants to buy an item, they will request for the item, give the diamonds and that's the offer done.

History

The trade market was first created in the 1.16 server iteration in Elpod which was a trading town and capitol of Aurus. It operated by using named pieces of paper, this method is inefficient and doesn't account for use penalty.

Modern

The trade market was created in Greater Krylia on 5th June, 2024. It used books instead of named paper which bypassed all enchantment costs, increased the space efficiency from 50% to 89%, and allowed for more freedom to the items which can be sold.
